Security

Visitors to Queens Park may be surprised to read that it wasn't always the pleasant, generally safe place it is at present. Some of this is covered in the History page.

The Park Regulations are there for the good of all visitors.

The Dog Park and Play Park are locked at nightfall, for obvious reasons. More about this on the Access page

The Prostitution issue is now largely absent, ever since the palisade fences were put up, and especially since the public toilet in the Play Park has been properly managed and locked after hours. For an amusing story, read about Hooker's Alley

The Car Park next to the Dog Park in The Avenue also has an amusing story.

School children playing truant from school are still a regular problem during school hours. Here is a cautionary tale about that.
